Now, we’ve got experts in physiotherapy, exercise physiology, occupational therapy, and dietetics. These experts really care about helping people function better, no matter how old they are or what challenges they’re facing – whether it’s a disability, illness, or injury.

Ever wondered if carbs are good for you?

Carbohydrates are our body's main energy source, turning into glucose to fuel our cells and keep us going! They are found in a variety of foods and beverages and also pack a punch with fibre, vitamins, and minerals. Carbohydrates are broken down to glucose during digestion, which is absorbed into the blood to travel to the body cells that need energy.

But not all carbs are created equal! Low Glycaemic Index (GI) foods like wholegrain bread, oats, and sweet potatoes help keep your blood sugar steady and give you lasting energy. Plus, they keep you feeling full and satisfied!

Want to make your meals even healthier? Try adding a splash of vinegar or lemon juice, and mix in some lean protein like chicken or tofu. 🥗🥬

This week is Exercise Right Week!🏋️‍♀️

Exercise Right Week is a celebration of your body.

Exercise can be seen by some people as a punishment or chore rather than an excellent tool to keep us healthy and fit. The goal of this week is to encourage Aussies to move more and to think about the way exercise makes us feel rather than numbers on a scale.

Not sure where to start? At Extend HealthCo, we have Exercise Physiologists who are experts in exercise prescription and are university qualified health professionals with the skills to work with people with a whole range of chronic diseases, injuries, and disabilities. They can work with you based on your exercise ability, goals, and needs.
